Dear Salesloft Hiring Team,

I’m writing to express my strong interest in the Senior Manager, Customer Renewals position. After reviewing the role, speaking with a current Lofter, and immersing myself in Salesloft’s values and vision, I’m convinced this is where I belong and where I can make a lasting impact.

With over 8 years in B2B sales and SaaS, including 5 years in customer renewals. I’ve consistently delivered high-impact results while mentoring and enabling others to do the same. In my current role as a Principal Renewal Manager and Team Lead at HubSpot, I lead globally dispersed teams across NAM and LATAM, and we’ve consistently outperformed expectations, achieving 107% net revenue retention. I’ve developed and scaled renewal playbooks that increased close rates by 50% and drove a 4% uplift in gross revenue retention, totaling over $4.7M in ACV. By collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Success, Finance, and Fintech, I helped implement forecasting processes that now operate at over 95% accuracy.

Why Salesloft? First, it’s the people. Your “Team Over Self” culture is one I already live. From HEART values at HubSpot to peer-led enablement and leading without a title, I’ve thrived in collaborative, performance-driven cultures. Second, it’s the platform. I’ve been in sales for over a decade and understand the tectonic shifts revenue teams are navigating. Salesloft is uniquely positioned with its orchestration platform to lead this next era and that excites me. And third, the timing. I recently became a father, and with that milestone came reflection. I’ve exceeded my 5-year plan in just 3 years, and now I’m ready for a new challenge that sharpens my leadership, broadens my influence, and aligns with my long-term vision of building scalable, customer-first revenue teams.

Why me? Because I don’t just hit targets, I build systems, enable teams, and create momentum. I’ve led renewal teams that consistently exceed quota. I’ve improved revenue accuracy, reduced competitive churn by 10% (saving $400K), and created onboarding frameworks that helped new Renewal Managers achieve first-year milestones. I’ve used tools like Google Gemini and HubSpot AI to enhance forecasting and surface insights that turn risks into revenue. More than anything, I’m a builder. I’m not here to maintain, I’m here to elevate.

Salesloft is redefining what’s possible in revenue engagement. I’m energized by your vision and would be honored to lead and grow your renewals team. Thank you for considering my application. I would love the opportunity to contribute to your success.

With appreciation,

Timothy, thank you for being so proactive and reaching out to me directly on Slack to help with my contract question. Your quick support gave me the clarity I needed on how HubSpot handles those types of changes (Breeze Intelligence credits!), and it made all the difference. Because of your help, I was able to de-escalate the situation with my customer smoothly and quickly. This just shows how much of a team player you are. You truly saved my day!

Mateo Parzych

I want to shout out Tim for always being willing to help out with anything at any time! In this instance, Tim stepped up to take on an onboarding session with our new hires on a last-minute notice. We greatly appreciate him taking time out of his day to help educate new hires and we know it will leave a lasting impact on them and play a crucial part in grooming new team members. Thank you, Tim!

Emily Stebbins

I started with Tim in CM when I moved from another team at HubSpot. From the moment I met him, I have felt SO lucky to be his friend and teammate. He is motivating, positive, funny, patient, incredibly smart, and SUCH a good friend. He helps CM in so many ways and has played an integral part in so many people's HubSpot journey. I have a hard time narrowing down what part of HEART Tim embodies, as he truly is every piece of it, but his empathy has proven to be unwavering, so I'll choose that. Tim, you are my friend for life and I am so incredibly honored to work alongside you!! Thank you for everything you've done for me and the CM org as a whole!

Erin McCarthy

Just dropping some feedback here for Tim. It's truly been a pleasure working with him! He has an inspiring, can-do, "how can I help" attitude, and doesn't shy away from challenging situations or customers. His tone with customers is empathetic and service-oriented. I've so appreciated working with him so far and Keep Being Remarkable Tim!!!

Arielle Fraser

Tim is AMAZING! He gave a great in depth presentation on forecasting for Team Hile and I really appreciate the time he took to do that. Tim always goes above and beyond for the Team and truly is a Team player.

Destiny Story

Remarkable is the best possible way to describe Tim! I don't know what I would do without him and see him as an integral partner in my day-to day work. He's taught me so many things about successful contract negotiation in the time we've worked together. He's always willing to help our customers, listen with an empathetic ear, and creatively solve for them while keeping both the customer's and HubSpot's needs in mind. He always goes above and beyond to support me as a CSM and to support all of the customers we share.

Kim Holt

Hi Tim, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for always being there to support me and so many other CSMs, even when it doesn’t directly relate to your book of business. Your “can-do” attitude and willingness to help are truly exemplary, and it’s made such a positive impact on all of us. I feel so fortunate to have you as a resource and a teammate. While we’ll miss you over the next few months, I hope you fully enjoy this special time with your baby. You’ve made such a difference here, and your presence will be missed every day! Best, Kim

Shania Powell

Tim has been an amazing person to work with and truly exemplifies HEART! He has been completely remarkable in the way that he not only works with internal team members but also how he goes above and beyond for our customers! He is the most responsive person I have ever worked with and I am always excited when we get to share a customer! On top of that Tim is also willing to step in for customers that he doesn't even share with me. Overall, Tim you're the best!

I have had the opportunity to work with Tim quite a bit over the last four months and I am a better CSM because of it. Tim has taught me so much about how to creatively SFTC and also work toward our shared RR targets. I know that I can trust that Tim will handle any customer situation quickly, correctly, and professionally. He's also incredibly proactive - he works to get ahead of risky renewal situations and actively looks for growth opportunities. Beyond all of the ways that he excels as a CM, he's also just an absolute joy to work with on a daily basis - it's hard not to have a good day when it starts with one of Tim's video messages. Thank you for everything, Tim - you're a rockstar!

Aaron Schneider

Tim and I worked together as CM and CSM for about one year. It was an absolute pleasure getting to work with him; here's why:
- I have yet to work with another CM who knows as much about the HubSpot product as Tim does. This made for a mutual understanding and tight alignment on all calls customer calls. If I were ever not able to make it to a customer call, I was confident that Tim would be able to go above and beyond the CM role and answer product related questions as well.
- He is detail oriented. If/when customers had follow-up questions, he would make sure their answers where answered in full. This was not just for how the were related to the contract, but how it impacted the customer and their business.
- If I needed to prioritize a particular customer at risk, (within reason) Tim would do everything he possibly could to help me save the customer. On multiple occasions, Tim would jump on 2-3 calls with customers that had high MRR risk. In one particular case, he had a call with my customer's
(Pickdawgz) CEO, partner, and POC to make sure there was proper alignment on the renewal contract. Tim helped me save this account from a full cancelation.

Tim has been a game changer on the CM front. I've been at HubSpot for a long time and have worked with several folks on the team, but Tim has really stood out when it comes to alignment with the CSM org and working to hit metrics. Tim is on top of all the accounts he is aligned to, he is timely with communication (on both slack and over email), he is aware of and has an impressive understanding of tools (which is not necessarily a role expectation) and, most importantly, he knows how to pull up his bootstraps and SFTC. Admittedly, we had a call together recently and it was with a customer that I had sort of "given up" on (not my best work!). Tim, however, pushed the customer to see what their tech stack looked like, and challenged him to some new pricing options. Not sure where this will ultimately land, but I found myself inspired by Tim's actions and ability to look at the long-term game and not get caught up in a customer's previous actions. Sometimes it is easy to lose sight of this as you gain tenure, and Tim reminded me to never say never and always try to save some MRR. Thank you, Tim!

Why Customer Success At Salesloft?

People & Culture:
As an extrovert and natural collaborator, I’ve learned that a company’s success is driven by its people and culture is what people bring to life every day. After connecting with a current Lofter and diving into employee reviews across LinkedIn and Glassdoor, I’m confident Salesloft embodies the culture I’m looking for: one rooted in action, team over self, and a glass-half-full mindset. That’s the kind of environment I thrive in where everyone pulls together and leads with heart.

Product & Platform:
With over a decade in sales, I’ve seen firsthand how the landscape is shifting. Salesloft’s platform is uniquely positioned to help teams win in this new era of revenue orchestration. From prioritization to execution, the functionality and flexibility you’ve built is world-class. As someone who geeks out over enablement and loves seeing what real end users are saying (like on Peer Insights), I’d be proud to represent a product I genuinely believe in and help more teams experience its impact.

Growth & Timing:
The Sales Enablement and Revenue Orchestration space is on track to grow by 16%+ over the next 5–10 years and Salesloft is primed to lead that charge. With your platform’s maturity and the company entering a new phase of growth, especially within renewals, this is the right moment to contribute. I see this as a rare chance to get in, build something meaningful, and help scale a revenue motion that becomes a competitive advantage.

Growth Goals

My long-term goal (5–7 years) is to become a Director of Customer Success, leading a high-impact team that drives scalable growth and retention across a global customer base. To get there, I know I need to continue building a strong foundation in team leadership, strategic account management, and cross-functional collaboration. That’s why my immediate goal is to step into a Customer Success Manager leadership role, and my mid-term goal (3–5 years) is to move into CSM Director or Head of Success responsibilities where I can build systems, coach talent, and align Success, Sales, and Product around shared outcomes.

Software / Service

As I mentioned earlier, I’m genuinely geeky when it comes to product. I thrive on understanding how technology empowers go-to-market teams, and I stay on top of every product update, customer review, and industry shift. At HubSpot, I’ve loved diving into Spotlights and training sessions, even beyond what my current role requires. Today, only about 20% of my time is spent discussing product with customers but what excites me about the Salesloft opportunity is the chance to increase that dramatically. Being closer to the product and the value it delivers is a big plus for me and one of the key reasons I’m energized about this role.

Competition

I’m an extrovert who thrives in competitive, fast-paced environments because they push me beyond comfort and unlock exponential growth. While I’ve reached the highest level within my current Contract Management role, I’m intentionally seeking my next challenge to avoid complacency and continue progressing toward my long-term leadership goals. What excites me about this role at Salesloft is the opportunity to step back into a more dynamic, performance-driven environment where I can lead, compete, and experience that unmatched energy of driving renewals and securing wins that truly move the needle.

B2B

I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to build a career in B2B SaaS, where I could blend my passion for sales with my “geekiness” for technology to help customers succeed. In November, I took time to reassess my long-term goals and realized that in order to reach them, I needed to return to a more strategic, customer-facing role one that allows me to influence retention, growth, and long-term impact. Stepping into a Customer Success Manager role within a B2B SaaS organization is the clear next step, and the decision was driven by three key factors: my desire to stay close to the product, my strength in building relationships, and my long-term vision of leading customer success at scale.
